When HC provides you with customized web services, at some point, Lead Tech Person Franklin Eagerton will have a hand in it.
Franklin's technology experience spans two and a half decades. He began computing on a TI99/4A, writing programs in BASIC and saving them onto cassette tapes. Since then, he has coded in dozens of languages, including C, C++, Flash Actionscript, FORTRAN, Java, Javascript, Lasso, Pascal, Perl, PHP, and XSLT. He's administered a variety of servers and databases. He has created custom solutions ranging in scope from enterprise-level applications for international corporations to e-commerce websites for locally-owned wineries.
Franklin prides himself on delivering customer satisfaction. "On every project, the most important rule is: Listen to the Customer. There's a tendency for companies to force their customers to change their mindset in order to fit a product. That's backwards.
"Our goal is to create a product that's a perfect match for the person who uses it."
Currently, Franklin focuses on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP). "It's the right choice for 90% of all companies," Franklin will tell you. "It has the widest support and the most reliability. Too many companies get sold on solutions that cost tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars when the best solution can cost a fraction of that."
When he's not in front of his computer, Franklin can be found hiking the trails in Napa's own Skyline Park or, if he's really lucky, sailing on the San Francisco Bay.
